What we're looking for
A full Category C (Class 2) driving licence is essential.
We're not looking for someone who wants to spend five days a week driving an HGV. This is predominantly a site-based role with driving as an important additional responsibility.
It could particularly suit an experienced Class 2 driver who wants to move away from full-time driving into something more varied.
We're looking for someone who is:
- Practical and happy to get stuck in
- Reliable and trustworthy
- Comfortable working without constant supervision
- Able to carry out basic maintenance jobs
- Organised and able to take responsibility for the site
- Comfortable dealing with staff, visitors and contractors
- Flexible when the exhibition bus is attending events
- Happy to help wherever needed
Previous experience in caretaking, facilities, maintenance, construction or driving would be useful, but finding the right person with the right attitude is more important.
There will occasionally be early starts, later finishes and overnight stays when the exhibition bus is attending events. These will be planned in advance wherever possible.
This is a permanent position offering a varied role for someone who wants the stability of working mainly from one location while still making use of their Class 2 licence.
