Site Chemist

A leading waste management and environmental services business is looking for a Site Chemist to join its team in Middlesbrough.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a background in Chemistry, waste management, laboratory work or a related field to develop their career within the environmental sector.

• Sampling and testing incoming waste
• Identifying and classifying waste materials
• Ensuring waste is handled, stored and processed safely
• Completing waste documentation and maintaining accurate records
• Supporting site operations and ensuring compliance with environmental legislation
• Working closely with colleagues, customers and waste producers

• Chemistry qualification or relevant experience preferred
• Experience within waste, chemicals, laboratory or an industrial environment would be advantageous
• Good attention to detail and organisational skills
• Strong health, safety and environmental awareness
• Practical, reliable and willing to work in a busy site environment

• Salary up to £35,000 per annum
• Permanent, full-time position
