What will you be doing?
- Managing the day-to-day delivery of a fire suppression pipework and civil installation project, ensuring work is completed safely and to specification
- Leading multi-disciplinary site teams and subcontractors, coordinating trades to maintain programme and quality
- Ensuring compliance with site-specific procedures and high-hazard working requirements
- Taking responsibility for site health and safety, including toolbox talks, permit-to-work systems and enforcing safe working practices
- Liaising with the client's site operations team to coordinate access, permits and interfaces with live plant
- Monitoring programme progress, resolving site issues and escalating risks where required
- Managing quality inspections of pipework and civil installations against engineering specifications
- Coordinating deliveries, plant and materials on a busy operational site
- Producing site progress reports and attending client progress meetings
Where you'll be doing it?
You'll be joining a specialist engineering business delivering a major fire suppression installation on a live operational port facility in Liverpool. This technically challenging project involves working within a high-hazard environment, requiring strong site leadership, close coordination with operational teams and a relentless focus on safety, quality and programme delivery.
What you'll need:
- Valid SMSTS qualification
- Mechanical or civil engineering background
- Proven experience managing multi-disciplinary teams in hazardous or high-hazard environments
- Experience working on ATEX sites is highly desirable
- Strong site leadership skills with experience running live operational sites
- Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating multiple trades on complex construction programmes
