Site Engineer (4 On/4 Off Days & Nights) (Forklift Trucks)

Alexander James Recruiting are currently working with a leading manufacturer of Material Handling equipment looking to on board a new Site Engineer to maintain a fleet of trucks on a customer site in Solihull on a rotating shift pattern. Responsibilities

•    Servicing a fleet of Material Handling equipment on a customer site in Solihull focusing on forklift trucks

•    Fixing and servicing other, related & specialist equipment as and when required

•    Ensuring excellent customer service and representing the company in the right way on customer site

•    Adhering to both the company’s and customer’s health & safety policies whilst working on site

•    Reporting back to the team leaders and service manager in the region

•    Working 4 days on 4 days off on a rotating shift pattern of days and nights

Requirements

The company have a preference for an individual from a forklift truck background due to the requirements of the role, however this is not essential. They will also consider candidates with a background working within a closely related industry such as plant equipment, automotive, commercial vehicles or similar. You will be able to work well as part of a team as well as working on your own initiative. In terms of location, you will need to be based within commutable distance of Newport. It is essential that you are ready to work both day shifts and night shifts.
