Setting Out Site Engineer – St Neots
Groundworks / Earthworks | New Build Retail Park
Start: 1st September 2026 | Approx. 40 Weeks

We are looking for an experienced Setting Out Site Engineer to join a groundworks contractor on a new build retail park project in St Neots.

The position is due to start 1st September 2026 and is expected to run for approximately 40 weeks, offering a good long-term opportunity for the right engineer.

The Role:

• Setting out for earthworks and groundworks packages
• Levels, drainage, foundations, roads, kerbs and associated external works
• Carrying out surveys and maintaining accurate site records
• Working closely with the site management and groundworks teams
• Ensuring works are completed accurately and in line with drawings/specifications

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Site / Setting Out Engineer
• Strong earthworks and groundworks experience
• Competent using relevant setting out equipment, including Total Station and GPS
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
• Own equipment would be advantageous but is not essential
• Relevant engineering qualifications
• CSCS required
