Role Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join a project in Swindon, starting on 24 August.

This is an approximately 3-week opportunity for a Site Engineer with strong setting-out and groundworks/civil engineering experience. The successful candidate will work closely with the site team to ensure works are completed accurately, safely and in line with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Setting out works accurately in accordance with drawings and specifications.
• Carrying out levels, measurements and site surveys.
• Reading and interpreting construction drawings and technical information.
• Establishing and maintaining site control points and benchmarks.
• Checking completed works against design specifications and required tolerances.
• Working closely with the Site Manager and site operatives.
• Providing engineering support and resolving technical issues on site.
• Monitoring the quality and accuracy of works throughout the project.
• Maintaining accurate site records and documentation.
• Supporting the wider site team as required.
• Ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with health and safety requirements.

Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Site Engineer on construction, civil engineering or groundworks projects.
• Strong setting-out and surveying skills.
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings.
• Experience using relevant surveying equipment.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a site team.
• Relevant site qualifications and CSCS certification.
• Good understanding of health and safety requirements.
