Location: Samlesbury, Lancashire (Site-based)

Working Pattern:

  • Monday – Thursday: 8:00am – 6:00pm
  • Friday: 8:00am – 3:30pm

Salary & Benefits

  • Basic salary from £42,000 (flexible for the right candidate)
  • Approximately £11,000 per year in contracted overtime
  • Annual performance bonus of £2,000
  • Total earning potential of circa £55,000+
  • Salary progression based on experience and length of service

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for five Site Engineers to provide maintenance, servicing and technical support on large-scale CNC machine tools at a major aerospace manufacturing facility in Samlesbury.

This is a permanent, site-based role supporting some of the largest and most advanced CNC machining centres in the UK, including machines up to 30 metres in length and 20 metres in width.

We're interested in engineers from either a Mechanical or Electrical maintenance background with strong fault-finding abilities and experience working on CNC machine tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown repairs on large CNC machine tools.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults to minimise downtime.
  • Service and maintain 3-axis and 5-axis CNC milling and turning machines.
  • Work closely with production teams to ensure maximum machine availability.
  • Complete service documentation and maintenance records accurately.
  • Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with site procedures.

Essential Requirements

  • Experience maintaining or servicing CNC machine tools.
  • Strong fault-finding skills, either mechanically or electrically.
  • Good working knowledge of Siemens 840D CNC control systems.
  • British National (required due to site security restrictions).
  • Full UK driving licence.

Desirable Experience

  • Time-served engineering apprenticeship.
  • Experience working within aerospace, precision engineering, machine tool, or advanced manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of large CNC milling and turning machinery.
