Freelance Site Engineer

Location: Central Belt, Scotland
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Initial 4-week contract

Due to an upcoming busy period, project mobilisation, and holiday cover requirements, we are looking for an experienced Site Engineer to provide support across multiple groundworks projects throughout the Central Belt. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and adaptable engineer who is comfortable managing responsibilities across more than one site and is looking for the possibility of a longer-term position.


Responsibilities

  • Setting out and surveying for groundworks packages
  • Managing engineering activities across multiple sites
  • Ensuring works are delivered in line with programme and specifications
  • Maintaining accurate site records and as-built information
  • Supporting site teams with technical guidance and problem-solving
  • Ensuring quality and health & safety standards are maintained



Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Site Engineer within groundworks and civil engineering projects
  • Strong setting out and surveying skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities across multiple sites
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Full UK driving licence
