Site Engineer
Contract Scotland
Site Engineer / Site Agent (Civils) | 10-12 Month Contract
Location: Dundee, Scotland
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Site Engineer looking to take on increased responsibility, or a hands-on Site Agent who enjoys being involved in both the technical and operational sides of a project.
We're seeking someone to join a 10-12 month civil engineering project involving open-cut trenching, pipeline installation, and chamber construction. This is a well-structured scheme with a relatively small site team, offering a varied role where you'll have genuine influence over day-to-day operations without the pressures often associated with larger, heavily resourced projects.
The Role
You'll be responsible for supporting the delivery of the works through a combination of:
- Site engineering and setting out
- Supervising site activities and subcontractors
- Planning and coordinating daily operations
- Ensuring health & safety standards are maintained
- Managing records, progress reporting and quality documentation
- Liaising with project stakeholders and the site team
This position would particularly suit an engineer who enjoys taking ownership of projects and is keen to develop their management and leadership experience.
Requirements
- Proven experience on civil engineering projects
- Strong background in drainage, pipelines, utilities or similar infrastructure works
- SMSTS (essential)
- First Aid certification (preferred)
- Ability to manage site activities while remaining technically involved
What's on Offer?
- Immediate start available
- Long-term contract opportunity (10-12 months)
- Interesting infrastructure project with a supportive team environment
- Opportunity to take on broader responsibilities and make a real impact on project delivery
If you're available at short notice and interested in a role that offers a mix of engineering, supervision and project management responsibilities, we'd be keen to hear from you.
