Site Engineer

A large and well-established Civil Engineering Contractor is seeking an experienced Freelance Site Engineer to work on a public realm scheme in Brighouse.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Setting out of kerbs, paving layouts, levels, and alignments
• Establishing and maintaining site control points and benchmarks
• Checking line, level, and position of works throughout construction
• Coordinating setting out with drainage, services, and structural elements
• Liaising with subcontractors to ensure accuracy and quality
• Identifying and reporting discrepancies in drawings or site conditions
• Assisting with as-built surveys and handover information

Experience Required:

• Proven experience setting out on public realm schemes
• Strong background in civil engineering and groundworks
• Competent in the use of robotic total stations and GPS equipment
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately
• Experience working with drainage, kerbing, paving, and service installations
• CSCS card (essential)
• SMSTS or SSSTS (desirable)

Remuneration
£330 - £400 per day
