Site Engineer
Location: Devonport Dockyard, Plymouth
Rate: £336 - £390 per day PAYE (including Holiday Pay)
Additional: £50 Lodge Allowance or £25 Travel Allowance per day
Hours: Monday to Friday

Major Infrastructure | Long-Term Opportunity | Devonport Dockyard

A major redevelopment programme at Devonport Dockyard is looking for an experienced Site Engineer to join the team on a long-term basis.
You'll be working within one of the UK's largest and most technically demanding infrastructure environments, supporting the delivery of complex construction works within a highly regulated site.

The Role

As Site Engineer, you'll be right at the heart of delivery, working with construction teams and subcontractors to keep work progressing safely, accurately and to specification.

You'll be involved in:
  • Coordinating day-to-day construction activities.
  • Site surveys and maintaining accurate engineering records.
  • Reviewing drawings and raising TQs, RFIs and NCRs.
  • Ensuring compliance with RAMS, permits, Safe Systems of Work and H&S requirements.
  • Updating CAD drawings and project documentation.
  • Supporting planning, progress meetings and risk management.
  • Assisting with handover and completion documentation.
What We're Looking For You'll be an experienced Site Engineer with a background in major civil engineering, construction or infrastructure projects.

You'll need:
  • Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • CSCS Card.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods and engineering principles.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and manage site documentation.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and CAD software.
Experience with NEC contracts, BIM, Autodesk, Bentley, nuclear projects or other regulated environments would be an advantage.
