We are recruiting for a Site Engineer to join a leading UK construction and infrastructure contractor. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Site Engineer to play a key role in the technical delivery of major projects, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the technical viability of project works while supporting health and safety, quality, environmental, and commercial objectives across site operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for the technical delivery and engineering aspects of project works.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
- Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with contract specifications, drawings, and project requirements.
- Implement company policies relating to health and safety, quality, environmental management, and sustainability.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation to demonstrate compliance.
- Proactively identify and resolve technical and operational issues.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across projects and site activities.
- Implement and comply with the company's Business Management System.
- Contribute to the successful commercial, environmental, and safety performance of projects.
About You
- Degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant construction or engineering discipline.
- Proven experience working as a Site Engineer for a main contractor.
- Strong technical knowledge of construction methods and site engineering practices.
- Holds an appropriate CSCS Card.
- Safety Level 1 qualified.
- Experience supporting civil engineering, infrastructure, or construction projects.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
