Key Responsibilities
- Manage all engineering activities on site, ensuring works are delivered safely, accurately and in accordance with the project programme.
- Provide engineering control, setting out and technical support to site teams.
- Lead quality control processes to ensure all works comply with project specifications, drawings and relevant standards.
- Promote and maintain the highest standards of Health, Safety and Environmental compliance across all site activities.
- Assist with the management of the permit process, including CAT scanning and issuing permits where required.
- Maintain accurate site records, including site diaries, daily works records, resource allocations and as-built information.
- Produce and update as-built drawings using AutoCAD.
- Liaise with Site Agents, Project Managers, subcontractors and the wider delivery team to ensure efficient project delivery.
- Support the successful delivery of highways and civil engineering projects through effective planning, communication and problem solving.
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience as a Site Engineer within highways, civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of engineering control, setting out and quality assurance procedures.
- Experience working on earthworks, drainage, highways and structures.
- Good understanding of the permit process and CAT scanning.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and maintaining accurate as-built records.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.
- Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced site environment.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ambitious, proactive and committed to delivering high standards of work.
- Full UK Driving Licence (preferred).
