Our client is a well-established and growing civil engineering contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects throughout the Inverness and Morayshire region. Due to continued growth and a healthy project pipeline, they are seeking a Site Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis. A temporary contract option may also be considered for the right candidate.
What You'll Be Working OnAs a Site Engineer, you'll play a key role in the successful delivery of a variety of projects, including:
- New-build schools and educational facilities
- Retail and commercial developments
- Infrastructure and civil engineering works
- Public sector projects
- Groundworks, drainage and external works packages
Your Key Responsibilities
- Setting out works in accordance with drawings and specifications.
- Managing and maintaining site control and survey data using modern surveying equipment.
- Ensuring quality assurance procedures are followed and documented.
- Producing and maintaining accurate site records, reports and as-built information.
- Liaising closely with Site Managers, Project Managers, subcontractors and clients.
- Monitoring progress and identifying potential issues before they impact programme delivery.
- Supporting the commercial team with measurement and valuation information where required.
- Promoting and maintaining high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance on site.
- Previous experience working as a Site Engineer within civil engineering, groundworks or construction projects.
- Proficiency with setting out equipment such as Leica, Trimble or Topcon.
- Experience interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Strong understanding of QA procedures and site documentation.
- Good communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with project stakeholders.
- A valid UK driving licence.
- Relevant engineering qualification (HNC, HND, Degree or equivalent).
- Experience delivering education, retail or commercial construction projects.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and surveying software.
- CSCS card and relevant site certifications.
