I am looking for a SITE ENGINEER for the following project:
Location: CH1
The micro tunnelling and trenchless works for the Liverpool Bay Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) project are being executed by specialist subcontractor under the main engineering contractor United Infrastructure (UI).
Project Scope & Overview
- Contract Value: ~£50 million award for trenchless engineering.
- Overall Program: JGL is designing and constructing 53 trenchless crossings (including microtunnelling, auger boring, and directional drilling) along a roughly 35 km onshore CO₂ pipeline route spanning from North Wales into North West England.
- Crossings Include: 34 roads, 4 railways, 8 major oil and gas pipelines, 2 rivers, a canal, a brook, woodland, and towpathsM53 Crossing (near Chester): Delivered a 62.5-metre microtunnel (1,500 mm internal diameter) beneath live motorway traffic operating 24/7, utilizing two segmental shafts (10.5m launch and 9.0m reception pit) with zero surface settlement.
- M56 Crossing: Completed a 97.5-metre microtunnel drive (AVN 1500 system) maintaining an average advance rate of ~20 metres per day.
- Auger Bores & Other Drives: Includes precision installations at sites like Picton Lane and Church Lane/Chester Road to safely route the pipeline beneath critical regional infrastructure.
