The Role

As a Site Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the successful technical delivery of water treatment and associated civil engineering works. You will work closely with the Site Management, Project Engineers, subcontractors and design teams to ensure construction activities are completed safely, accurately, on programme and to the required quality standards.

Site Engineer Responsibilities

  • Carrying out day-to-day engineering activities across water treatment and associated civil engineering works.
  • Setting out and surveying works in accordance with approved drawings and specifications.
  • Establishing and checking levels, coordinates, dimensions and tolerances using appropriate surveying equipment.
  • Reading, interpreting and navigating construction drawings, specifications and CAD drawings.
  • Assisting with the delivery of reinforced concrete structures, pipelines, chambers, tanks and other water infrastructure.
  • Checking construction works to ensure they comply with approved drawings, specifications and project requirements.
  • Supporting the preparation and implementation of RAMS and construction methodologies.
  • Carrying out site inspections and ensuring works are completed in accordance with Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
  • Maintaining accurate QA records, inspection documentation, site records and as-built information.

Site Engineer Requirements

  • Previous experience working as a Site Engineer on water, utilities, infrastructure or heavy civil engineering projects.
  • Experience working with reinforced concrete, structures, pipelines and water treatment infrastructure.
  • Good understanding of ASP, FSP and structural works.
  • Confident ability to read, interpret and navigate CAD drawings.
  • Experience with setting out, surveying, levels, coordinates and dimensional control.
  • Good understanding of QA procedures, ITPs, inspections and as-built documentation.
  • Knowledge of RAMS, construction methodologies and safe systems of work.
  • Relevant engineering qualification or equivalent site-based experience.
  • Full UK driving licence.
