Search Consultancy is looking for a qualified, highly proficient Site Engineer to join a major development project in Middlesbrough. We are partnering with a top-tier main contractor requiring an attentive engineering professional capable of taking full control of site setting out, quality control, and technical oversight.

The Role

• Setting Out & Layout: Establishing primary control, setting out foundations, steelwork, drainage, civils, and structural elements using total stations and GPS kit.

• Technical Interface: Reviewing architectural and structural drawings, managing RFIs, and resolving site discrepancies directly with project managers and design teams.

• Quality Assurance: Carrying out pre-pour and post-pour inspections, maintaining strict QA records, and ensuring all works strictly adhere to project specifications.

• As-Built Surveys: Conducting detailed as-built surveys and producing CAD drawings or 3D models to verify site progress and handover milestones.

• Site Coordination: Working alongside site management and subcontractors to ensure construction programs remain on schedule and compliant with RAMS.

Requirements

• Qualifications: Degree, Higher National Diploma (HND), or HNC in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.

• CSCS Card: A valid CSCS Card (Manager/Professional or Academically Qualified Person) is mandatory.

• Equipment Proficiency: Hands-on expertise with modern robotic total stations (Leica, Trimble, Topcon) and GPS equipment.

• Experience: Proven track record as a Site Engineer on commercial, civil engineering, or heavy construction developments.

• Right to Work: Must have a valid right to work in the UK.
