We are currently looking for an experienced Site Engineer to join a major construction project in Middlesbrough on a long-term 12-month contract.
Role & Responsibilities
- Setting out and surveying works on site.
- Checking levels, dimensions and alignment.
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
- Carrying out quality inspections and maintaining QA records.
- Producing as-built information and site documentation.
- Liaising with the Site Manager, Project Manager and subcontractors.
- Identifying and resolving technical issues on site.
- Ensuring works are delivered safely, accurately and in accordance with project specifications.
- Supporting the wider site team with engineering and technical requirements.
- Previous experience as a Site Engineer on civil engineering/construction projects.
- Strong setting-out experience.
- Competent with surveying equipment such as Leica, Trimble or similar.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Good understanding of QA, ITPs and as-built documentation.
- Relevant engineering qualification (HNC/HND/Degree) preferred.
- Valid CSCS card.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Right to work in the UK.
