Site Facilities and Utilities Administrative Assistant, Part-time – Wakefield

Permanent24 hours per week, with flexibility on working days and hours. Minimum 3 days on site.

Wakefield Operations is the 2nd biggest plant in CCEP and the biggest soft drink plant in Europe. The Wakefield site produces just under half of GB’s volume across their 9 manufacturing lines.  The site can produce 672,000 cans every hour and 132,000 bottles every hour. What to expect:

 

In this role you’ll provide comprehensive administrative support to the Site Facilities & Utilities team, helping to ensure the smooth day‑to‑day operation of the Wakefield site. You’ll be responsible for a wide range of activities, from managing staff amenities such as uniforms, lockers and refreshments, to maintaining site access systems and coordinating visitors, contractors and suppliers.

 

You’ll handle procurement and purchasing administration for facilities and utilities services, including raising purchase orders, managing service contracts and supporting supplier coordination. You’ll also support staff travel arrangements, manage site stationery and post, maintain accurate staff and operational records, and provide administrative support for site meetings, events and employee engagement activities.

 

Working closely with colleagues across the site, you’ll play a key role in maintaining compliance, organisation and continuity of service. The role also involves providing holiday and absence cover across Facilities & Utilities administration, offering variety, responsibility and opportunities to broaden your skills within a large, fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

 

 

Skills & Essentials:

 

  • Previous experience in an administrative support role, ideally within a manufacturing, facilities, utilities or operational environment
  • Strong organisational and time‑management skills, with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Confident communication skills, able to interact professionally with employees, visitors, contractors and suppliers at all levels
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail when maintaining records, logs and administrative systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams
  • Experience of procurement and purchasing processes, including raising purchase orders and liaising with suppliers (SAP or similar systems desirable)
  • Ability to maintain confidential information and handle security‑related processes in a professional manner
  • Flexible and adaptable approach, with a willingness to support colleagues and respond to changing site requirements
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths; vocational qualifications in Administration or Customer Service beneficial but not essential
