Are you a proven senior site manufacturing leader ready to take full ownership of a large-scale FMCG operation?
We are seeking an exceptional Head of Site Manufacturing to lead a high-volume manufacturing site employing 300 people. This is a critical leadership role for an ambitious individual who can inspire teams, drive operational excellence, and deliver outstanding business performance. Working as a key member of the site leadership team, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and profitable operation of the manufacturing function, ensuring industry-leading standards across safety, quality, service, cost, and people development.
As Head of Manufacturing, you are responsible for fostering and maintaining a high-performance site operations culture that drives employee engagement and operational excellence. You will promote and lead initiatives around engagement, communication, recognition, and development, ensuring your team are empowered and rewarded.
Key Responsibilities - Head of Site Manufacturing
•Lead, coach, and develop a manufacturing site of 300+ employees
•Clearly define and execute the manufacturing strategy, empower your managers and our term to deliver it
•Drive a culture of safety, accountability, engagement, and operational excellence
•Lead to optimize throughput, efficiency, whilst minimizing waste, ensuring customer expectations are met. Your overall purpose is to delight the customer, with quality products
•Deliver performance improvements across productivity, quality, cost, and customer service
•Lead customer facing activities including customer visits
•Champion Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives
•Manage a multi-million P&L to lead manufacturing and conversion costs within budget to ensure profitable long-term growth
•Lead change and transformation programmes that support future growth
•Build capability and succession pipelines across the manufacturing and site leadership team
•Lead your site to achieve maximum operational efficiency and improvements in quality, service, and reduction in operating costs
•Lead and work collaboratively with Engineering, Supply Chain, supply chain, and HSE Technical functions
•Oversee governance around quality, the strategy around site compliance relating to safety, health, quality and environmental requirements and audit activity to support the company’s products
Key Requirements - Head of Site Manufacturing
•Significant senior manufacturing leadership experience within FMCG, Food, Beverage, Consumer Products, Pharma, Packaging, or a similarly fast-paced manufacturing environment
•Time sensitive complex manufacturing is the key background required
•Proven experience leading large operational teams through multiple layers of management
•Strong track record of delivering measurable improvements in site performance
•You will demonstrate that you put the customer at the heart of everything you do as a senior manufacturing leader
•Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement expertise
•Inspirational leadership style with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
•Demonstrable experience of previous leadership experience in an Operational role in FMCG at a Senior Level
•Project management and problem-solving skills such as 6 Sigma
•Strong emotional intelligence, self-awareness is key
•Strong budget management/cost control
•Commercially aware with the ability to translate strategy into results
