300 North are recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to act as the client representative on a live refurbishment and compliance project in Poole

Working on behalf of a leading Facilities Management provider delivering construction works for the Ministry of Justice you will provide a strong on-site presence and act as the client's "eyes and ears" throughout the project.

The court will be closed during the works, providing a focused delivery environment. This is a time-critical project requiring strong contractor management, health and safety oversight, accurate reporting and proactive issue resolution.

The Project

The works include:

Fire compartmentation and fire-stopping

Asbestos removal and associated compliance works

Lighting and electrical infrastructure upgrades

Mechanical and electrical modifications

General refurbishment and construction works

Key Responsibilities

Represent the client on site and oversee daily construction activities

Monitor the performance of the Principal Contractor and subcontractors

Ensure works are delivered safely, to programme and to the required quality standards

Produce detailed daily reports covering progress, labour, safety, quality, risks and site issues

Review and track RFIs, technical queries and outstanding actions

Monitor compliance with RAMS, permits, inspections and statutory requirements

Attend progress meetings, coordination meetings and contractor briefings

Identify and escalate programme, quality, commercial or safety risks

Liaise with the Senior Project Manager, Principal Designer, contractors, consultants and client stakeholders

Track progress against the construction programme and highlight potential delays

Maintain high standards of housekeeping, conduct and health and safety across the site

Essential Experience

Previous experience as a Site Manager within construction, refurbishment, Facilities Management or public-sector environments

Strong knowledge of construction health and safety requirements

Experience overseeing Principal Contractors and specialist subcontractors

Experience working within secure or sensitive environments such as courts, government buildings, healthcare, education or defence

Experience overseeing fire-stopping, compartmentation or asbestos-related works

Strong reporting, communication and stakeholder-management skills

Ability to identify and resolve technical and operational site issues

A Mechanical or Electrical background would be particularly advantageous.
