The Role

Two experienced Site Managers are required to join the delivery team on a major £100m new-build office development in the London Bridge area.

Each Site Manager will take responsibility for designated areas, packages or sections of the development, coordinating subcontractors and ensuring that work is delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage subcontractors and daily site activities.
  • Take ownership of allocated construction packages or project areas.
  • Coordinate labour, materials, plant and site logistics.
  • Ensure work is delivered safely and in accordance with the programme.
  • Monitor workmanship and compliance with drawings and specifications.
  • Coordinate with the engineering, design, commercial and building-services teams.
  • Chair subcontractor, progress and coordination meetings.
  • Prepare and maintain short-term programmes and look-ahead schedules.
  • Review and manage RAMS, permits, inspections and site records.
  • Identify and resolve construction, sequencing and logistical issues.
  • Drive quality assurance, snagging and package completion.
  • Monitor progress and report potential delays to the senior project team.
  • Promote high standards of health, safety and environmental performance.

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous Site Manager experience with a recognised main contractor.
  • Experience delivering major commercial, office or mixed-use developments.
  • Strong knowledge of Central London construction and logistical constraints.
  • Experience managing subcontractors and significant work packages.
  • Background in structural frame, building envelope, internal fit-out or complex logistical packages would be advantageous.
  • Strong programme, quality and health and safety awareness.
  • Excellent communication, coordination and leadership skills.
  • SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications are preferred.
