Site Manager – Stranraer (Accommodation Allowance Provided)

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the successful delivery of an exciting construction project in Stranraer.

The project involves the construction of a new community hub featuring:

  • Changing and shower facilities
  • Classrooms and meeting rooms
  • Café and kitchen facilities
  • Office accommodation
  • Open public spaces

The development is scheduled for completion in September 2026, offering a long-term opportunity for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day site operations and coordinate subcontractors
  • Ensure works are completed safely, on programme, and to the required quality standards
  • Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and safety inspections
  • Monitor project progress and report to senior management
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders
  • Maintain site records and ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
  • Drive productivity while maintaining high standards of workmanship

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager on construction projects
  • Valid SMSTS
  • Valid First Aid at Work certificate
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple trades and coordinate site activities effectively
  • Excellent understanding of health and safety legislation
  • Full UK driving licence preferred
