Pay Rate: £17.17–£18.18 per hour PAYE

We are currently recruiting for experienced site staff to support a cluster of five primary schools across Hammersmith & Fulham, including Fulham, Langford, Queen's Manor, Sulivan and Wilberforce.

The schools are looking for reliable and hands-on individuals who can take responsibility for the day-to-day running, safety and maintenance of the school site.

As a Site Manager / Caretaker, your responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring the school premises are safe, secure and well maintained.
• Carrying out and overseeing health & safety and statutory compliance checks.
• Managing checks including fire safety, Legionella and PAT testing.
• Liaising with and managing external contractors and maintenance providers.
• Opening and locking up the school premises.
• Acting as a key holder and responding to site-related issues when required.
• Carrying out general hands-on maintenance, repairs and basic DIY.
• Supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the school site.
• Reporting maintenance, health & safety or security issues appropriately.
• Ensuring the school environment remains safe, clean and welcoming for pupils and staff.

We are keen to hear from candidates with previous experience as a:

• School Site Manager
• School Caretaker
• Facilities Officer
• Site Supervisor
• Premises Manager
• Maintenance Operative with school experience

School site experience is highly desirable, particularly experience with health & safety, statutory compliance and contractor management.

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience working in a school or education setting.
• Good knowledge of health & safety and statutory site checks.
• Experience managing contractors and maintenance works.
• Practical maintenance / DIY skills.
• Ability to carry out opening and closing procedures and act as a key holder.
• Enhanced DBS.
• DBS must be registered on the Update Service, or you must be willing to register for the Update Service.
• Reliable, responsible and able to work independently.
• Must be happy to work on a PAYE basis.
