Site Manager

Carmichael UK are recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to join a major contractor delivering a significant package of landscaping and drainage works on the HS2 project in Northamptonshire.

This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of a challenging section of works on one of the UK's largest infrastructure projects, managing site activities safely, efficiently and to programme while maintaining the highest standards of quality and environmental compliance.

• Managing day-to-day delivery of landscaping and drainage works
• Leading site teams, subcontractors and suppliers to achieve programme milestones
• Ensuring works are delivered safely and in accordance with company procedures
• Monitoring productivity, quality and progress across multiple work fronts
• Coordinating labour, plant and materials requirements
• Working closely with engineering, commercial and project management teams
• Managing inspections, permits, temporary works and site documentation
• Driving a positive health, safety and environmental culture on site
• Liaising with stakeholders and ensuring compliance with HS2 requirements

• Proven experience as a Site Manager delivering civil engineering projects
• Strong background in landscaping, soft landscaping, hard landscaping and drainage works
• Experience managing subcontractors and direct labour teams
• Excellent understanding of health, safety and environmental standards
• Ability to drive programme delivery while maintaining quality standards
• Strong communication and leadership skills
