Are you an experienced M&E Site Manager with National Grid substation experience looking for your next contract opportunity within the Transmission & Distribution sector?
We are looking for an M&E Site Manager to join a major energy infrastructure contractor, supporting the delivery of works on a National Grid substation project.
This is a site-based position where you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day delivery of M&E works, coordinating site teams and contractors and ensuring activities are completed safely and in accordance with project and National Grid requirements.
The successful candidate will need to hold SR163 and National Grid Person authorisation, alongside strong previous experience working within substation or high-voltage environments.
- Managing day-to-day M&E activities on site
- Coordinating site teams, contractors and subcontractors
- Ensuring works are delivered safely and in accordance with the project programme
- Monitoring the quality and progress of works
- Working closely with the wider project and construction management teams
- Ensuring works comply with National Grid procedures and site requirements
- Managing site health, safety and quality standards
- Supporting the successful delivery of works through to completion
- Previous experience as an M&E Site Manager / Site Manager within Power, T&D or similar infrastructure projects
- Previous National Grid / substation experience
- SR163 – essential
- National Grid Person authorisation – essential
- Manual Handling – essential
- Strong understanding of M&E works within a site environment
- Experience managing contractors and site teams
- Strong understanding of health & safety requirements within HV/substation environments
- Good communication and coordination skills
This is an ASAP requirement, with the initial contract running until 30 April 2027 and a 50-hour working week.
