Site Manager in Birmingham, West Midlands

We are currently recruiting for a Site Manager to join one of our well-established clients in Birmingham.

Our client is a leading UK construction and civil engineering contractor with a proven track record of delivering complex, high-profile infrastructure, commercial, residential and transportation projects across the UK and Ireland.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage daily site operations on a major infrastructure project.
• Ensure all works are delivered safely and in accordance with company procedures and legislation.
• Coordinate subcontractors, direct labour and suppliers.
• Monitor progress against programme and proactively address potential delays.
• Conduct site inspections, quality checks and health & safety audits.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings and industry standards.
• Maintain site records, reports and documentation.
• Chair site meetings and toolbox talks.
• Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers and commercial teams to achieve project objectives.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and the wider project team.
• Assist with short-term planning and resource allocation

Skills & Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Site Manager delivering major civil engineering, infrastructure or large-scale construction projects.
• Previous experience working on rail, highways, infrastructure, heavy civil engineering or major project environments.
• Strong understanding of health, safety and environmental legislation.
• Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple work fronts and subcontractors.
• Strong programme and resource management capabilities.
• Proficient in site reporting and project documentation.
• SMSTS
• CSCS Card (Manager Level)
• First Aid at Work
• Full UK Driving Licence
