Our client, a highly regarded and established civil engineering contractor, is currently seeking an experienced Site Manager to join their team on a major long-term civils and groundworks project in Oxfordshire.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and professional Site Manager to take a leading role in the successful delivery of a substantial programme of works, with 2–3 years of secured workload providing long-term stability and career progression. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all on-site activities, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, on programme, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing all day-to-day site operations and ensuring projects run smoothly
- Managing site teams, subcontractors, and plant resources effectively
- Ensuring full compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Coordinating works in line with project programmes and deadlines
- Liaising with clients, engineers, quantity surveyors, and the wider project team
- Monitoring quality standards and ensuring works meet required specifications
- Maintaining accurate site records, reports, and documentation
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Site Manager within the civils and groundworks sector
- Strong understanding of drainage, foundations, roads, infrastructure, and associated groundworks packages
- Valid SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid qualifications
- Strong organisational, communication, and leadership abilities
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and drive projects through to successful completion
