Site Manager

Our client is looking to recruit a Site Manager for their site in Rochester, Kent. 

This is a hands on operational leader role taking control of a family run fast paced business based on in Medway City Estate.  They are seeking a driven, pro active site manager to lead their team and manage the busy facility.  You will be learning all aspects of the business and have product specific training, you will be taught the technical aspects of the role.

Responsibilities: Team Management, work alongside the dayshift and nightshift team leaders to ensure sooth production schedules, commitment to quality and to ensure a flawless handover. 

Engineering Maintenance - co-ordinate planned and reactive maintenance programs.  Identify and implement improvements to equipment and processes.

Order and inventory management - work alongside the office admin team.

Hands on operations- Learn and supervise the plants high/low pressure treatment plants, oversee yard workflows and safely operate FLT counterbalance machinery when required to support the team.

Requirements:

1. The right mindset - highly motivated, visible and eager to lead from the front.

2. Proven Leadership - 3-5 years supervisory or managerial experince in heavy manufacturing and industrial yard operations.

3. Engineering - some knowledge or background in engineering would be an advantage

4. A Valid FLT counterbalance licence is essential.

5. Great Communicator

6. Safety Qualifications - IOSH, NEBOSH etc is preferred.
