Site Manager in Cumbria

A reputable main contractor are looking for an experienced Site Manager to join the team and lead the delivery of a roofing refurbishment programme in Cumbria

• Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of the site.

• Plan, coordinate and monitor refurbishment works from start to completion.

• Manage subcontractors, trades and site operatives to ensure productivity and quality.

• Ensure all works comply with current health & safety legislation, company procedures and site requirements.

• Monitor programme, progress and quality, taking action to address delays or issues.

• Coordinate materials, labour, plant and deliveries.

• Carry out regular site inspections and maintain high standards of workmanship.

• Maintain accurate site records, including site diaries, progress reports and health & safety documentation.

• Work closely with the Contracts Manager, client representatives and other stakeholders.

• Communicate professionally with residents, particularly where works are being undertaken in occupied properties.

• Identify and resolve site issues promptly and effectively.

• Ensure projects are delivered within budget and to the required specification.

• Attend progress meetings and provide regular updates on site performance.

• Proven experience as a Site Manager within refurbishment or planned maintenance.

• Experience working within social housing, local authority or occupied residential properties.

• Strong knowledge of construction health & safety requirements.

• Excellent organisational and communication skills.

• The ability to manage multiple trades and subcontractors effectively.

• A strong understanding of construction programmes, quality control and site documentation.

• A professional and proactive approach to problem-solving.

• The confidence to communicate effectively with residents, clients and senior management.

• Relevant Site Management qualifications, such as SMSTS, and a valid CSCS card, First Aid. 

Remuneration:

• £260.00 per day
