Site Manager (Cover)

The Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Freelance Site Manager to provide short-term cover on a live construction project for a period of three weeks.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing key external packages including roofing, brickwork and scaffolding works, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Day-to-day management of roofing, brickwork and scaffolding subcontractors.
• Monitoring site progress and ensuring works are delivered in line with programme requirements.
• Reviewing and implementing RAMS and ensuring full compliance with health and safety procedures.
• Conducting site inspections and quality assurance checks.
• Coordinating site logistics, deliveries and workforce activities.
• Maintaining accurate site records and daily reports.
• Liaising with the Project Manager and wider project team.
• Ensuring all works are completed to specification and in accordance with company standards.

Requirements

• Previous experience managing roofing, brickwork and scaffolding packages.
• Valid SMSTS.
• CSCS Black Card (or equivalent management card).
• First Aid at Work certificate.
• Strong health and safety knowledge.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of site activities.
• Excellent communication and subcontractor management skills.
