Freelance Site Manager - Bank fit out 

Location: Woking, Surrey
Start Date: 17th October
Duration: 7 Weeks
Work Pattern: Must be available to work most weekends
Contract Type: Freelance / Self-Employed
Rate: Competitive Day Rate (DOE)

We are seeking an experienced Freelance Site Manager to join our team on a bank refurbishment project in Woking. Working directly for a specialist subcontractor, you will be responsible for managing site operations, coordinating trades, maintaining programme targets, and ensuring works are delivered safely and to a high standard.

Project Scope

The refurbishment works include:

• Soft strip and enabling works
• Refurbishment of the main banking hall
• Toilet refurbishment works
• Refurbishment of back office areas
• Coordination of subcontractors and specialist trades
• Managing health & safety and site compliance throughout the project

Key Responsibilities

• Day-to-day management of the site and workforce
• Overseeing subcontractors and ensuring programme milestones are achieved
• Conducting site inductions, toolbox talks and daily briefings
• Monitoring health & safety performance and ensuring compliance with all site procedures
• Managing quality control and snagging processes
• Liaising with the client, project team and other stakeholders
• Maintaining site records, permits and reporting requirements
• Ensuring works are completed on time, safely and to specification

Essential Requirements

To be considered, applicants must hold all relevant Site Management certifications, including:

• SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
• CSCS Black Managers Card
• First Aid at Work Certificate
• Proven experience managing refurbishment projects
• Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and site management procedures
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Ability to commit to the full 7-week programme, including most weekends
