Site Manager / External Works Supervisor – Immediate Start

We are currently seeking an experienced Site Manager / External Works Supervisor to join a well-established project team for the final stages of a live construction project.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive, hands-on individual to oversee the external works package, ensuring the project is delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. The successful candidate will act as the "eyes on the ground", monitoring day-to-day activities, identifying issues early, and ensuring works progress in line with programme requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing day-to-day site operations during the final phase of the project.
• Acting as the primary site presence for all external works activities, monitoring and overseeing operations across the site.
• Overseeing groundworks activities, including the removal of stoned-up areas associated with temporary works.
• Coordinating landscaping works and ensuring programme targets are achieved.
• Monitoring subcontractor performance, quality, and progress of works.
• Managing site logistics and ensuring activities are completed in accordance with project specifications and company procedures.
• Maintaining exceptional health and safety standards at all times within a live campus environment.
• Identifying potential issues and escalating concerns to the project team as required.

Requirements:

• Proven experience working as a Site Manager, External Works Package Manager, or Supervisor on construction projects.
• Good knowledge of groundworks, landscaping, and external works packages.
• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and site compliance.
• Ability to work independently and be the key point of oversight for activities on site.
• Knowledge of insulated render systems would be advantageous, although not essential.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and coordination skills.
• Valid SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certifications preferred.
