Site Manager

Express Recruitment are delighted to be working in partnership with a specialist and well-established engineering and construction business, as they look to strengthen their project delivery team with the appointment of an experienced Site Manager.

This role sits within a fast-paced construction environment and would suit a proactive site management professional with experience overseeing structural steelwork installation projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating site activities, managing labour resources and subcontractors, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

There is an excellent remuneration package on offer including a basic salary of c£45,000, 33 days holiday including Bank Holidays, company pension, comprehensive employee wellbeing support, free onsite parking and an early finish every Friday.

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in a Site Manager position within construction, steelwork or a related industry
• Strong understanding of construction health and safety requirements, site operations and workforce management
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and carry out site measurements with a high level of accuracy
• Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
• Relevant industry qualifications including SSSTS, CSCS Card and experience working with plant and equipment associated with steelwork installations

Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day site operations, ensuring works are completed safely, on time and in line with project specifications
• Coordinate and supervise site teams, subcontractors and resources to achieve programme and budget requirements
• Conduct site surveys, inspections, inductions, toolbox talks and audits, maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations
• Maintain accurate site records, daily diaries and project documentation, providing clear reporting throughout project delivery
• Support Contract Managers with project completion activities, snagging works and the successful handover of completed projects
