Site Manager (No.1) – Freelance to Permanent

Falcon Green are currently recruiting for an experienced No.1 Site Manager to lead the delivery of a £multi-million school extension project in Oxford on behalf of a well-established main contractor.

This is an excellent opportunity for a driven Site Manager looking for long-term security, with the role initially offered on a freelance basis before transitioning into a permanent position for the right individual.

As the No.1 on site, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of the project, ensuring it is delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the site as the No.1 Site Manager.
• Manage subcontractors, site labour and the wider project team.
• Drive the construction programme to ensure project milestones are achieved.
• Maintain the highest standards of health & safety across site.
• Ensure all works are completed to the required quality standards.
• Chair site meetings and liaise with the client, consultants and senior management.
• Manage site logistics, sequencing of works and project documentation.
• Produce short-term programmes and monitor progress against key deadlines.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a No.1 Site Manager with a main contractor.
• Previous experience delivering education, commercial or public sector projects.
• SMSTS, CSCS Black or White Card and First Aid at Work are essential.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to manage projects independently from start through to completion.
