Fawkes & Reece London
Site Manager
An established residential developer is preparing to deliver a major multi-phased development across Sussex, bringing together both traditionally built and timber frame homes under two recognised brands. With construction gathering momentum, they're looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager to play a key role in shaping the development from the ground up.
Reporting into an experienced Project Manager and Contracts Manager, you'll take ownership of your phase while working as part of a wider management team on one of the region's flagship developments.
This is a fast-moving project where the early stages are critical. From infrastructure and groundwork through to the final handovers, you'll need to be equally comfortable planning ahead, leading subcontractors and maintaining exceptional standards as the site grows.
You'll be responsible for:
- Managing your phase from the early construction stages through to completion.
- Leading subcontractors and driving programme on a busy, fast-paced development.
- Maintaining excellent build quality and ensuring NHBC standards are achieved throughout.
- Working closely with the Project Manager and Contracts Manager to keep the development on programme.
- Promoting a positive site culture with health, safety and quality at the forefront.
- Coordinating with Technical, Commercial and Customer Care teams throughout the build process.
- Delivering homes that both the business and homeowners can be proud of.
We're looking for someone who:
- Has worked on large, volume residential developments and understands the pace they demand.
- Has experience managing all stages of construction, from infrastructure and superstructure through to completion.
- Has a strong understanding of NHBC standards and quality-led construction.
- Is confident leading subcontractors, organising programmes and making decisions on site.
- Ideally has experience working with both traditional build and timber frame construction.
This opportunity would also suit an experienced Assistant Site Manager who has already demonstrated they can take ownership, lead teams and is ready to make the step into a Site Manager position. Previous experience working for a PLC or volume housebuilder will be highly regarded.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a developer with a strong pipeline of future work, where career progression is earned through performance and managers are trusted to take ownership of their sites.
What's on offer:
- £60,000 - £70,000
- Car Allowance
- Annual Bonus
- Comprehensive Benefits Package
- Genuine Career Progression
