Site Manager in Newmarket, Suffolk

We are currently looking for an experienced Site Manager for a freelance project in Newmarket, running until February 2027.

EL1 security clearance is a key requirement for this project. The successful Site Manager must be willing and able to undergo the required EL1 security clearance process before commencing on site.

The Site Manager will need to be confident working autonomously, with previous groundworks and statutory services experience preferred.

The Site Manager will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of works on site in Newmarket, working autonomously and coordinating site activities.

The position is available for an immediate start, subject to successful initial security clearances, with the project expected to run until February 2027.

• Managing day-to-day site operations

• Working autonomously and taking responsibility for site activities

• Coordinating contractors and site teams

• Monitoring progress against programme

• Ensuring health and safety standards are maintained

• Managing site documentation and reporting

• Liaising with the project team and relevant stakeholders

• Must be willing and able to undergo EL1 security clearance

• Previous Site Manager experience

• Capable of working autonomously

• Groundworks experience preferable

• Statutory services experience preferable

• Strong site management and organisational skills

• Available for an immediate start, subject to successful initial security clearances

The Site Manager will be working with an established contractor delivering a project in the Newmarket area.
