Site Manager – Commercial Refurbishment Project

Start Date: Monday 7th September Location: Wallsend, North Tyneside Duration: 8 weeks Rate: £29 per hour (Mon–Fri, first 40 hours) high potential for Overtime on weekends due to fast turn around on project

About the Project

Existing office building undergoing a full refurbishment. All subcontractors are already appointed and operate efficiently, so this role is primarily focused on overseeing day‑to‑day site operations rather than heavy management duties.

Ideal for Newly Qualified SMSTS Holders

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has recently gained their SMSTS certification and is looking to step into a Site Manager role without needing extensive prior experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the general running of the site

• Ensure health & safety compliance

• Coordinate with subcontractors and monitor progress

• Maintain site records and daily reports

• Support smooth delivery of the refurbishment works

Requirements

• SMSTS (essential)

• First Aid (essential)

• CSCS Card (essential)

• Strong communication and organisational skills

• Ability to oversee a site with minimal supervision
