Plymouth | £60,000 + £5,400 Car Allowance/Company Vehicle + Package

Water utilities experience is essential. Applicants must have previous clean water and/or wastewater infrastructure experience.

A well-established Civil Engineering contractor is looking for an experienced Site Manager to deliver projects across a secured, long-term water framework covering Devon and Cornwall.
You'll manage multiple schemes valued from £50k to £2m, including pipelines, reservoirs, pumping stations, screens, runways and associated civils.

The Role

As Site Manager, you'll take ownership of projects from site mobilisation through to completion, keeping delivery safe, on programme and commercially controlled.
You'll be responsible for:
  • Managing multiple clean water and wastewater projects.
  • Leading site teams, subcontractors and supply chain partners.
  • Driving programmes, milestones, quality and H&S.
  • Monitoring budgets and forecasts alongside the commercial team.
  • Working within NEC contracts, ideally NEC4.
  • Supporting surveys, buildability reviews and pre-construction.
  • Managing RAMS, temporary works and site documentation.
  • Liaising with clients, highways teams, local authorities and statutory undertakers.
  • Monitoring KPIs, SLAs and overall project performance.
What You'll Need We're looking for a Site Manager with:
  • Proven clean water and/or wastewater infrastructure experience — essential.
  • Panning experience - P6, Asta or MS Project essential
  • A strong civil engineering/utilities background.
  • Experience managing several live schemes.
  • Knowledge of NEC contracts.
  • Strong commercial and programme awareness.
  • Good knowledge of CDM, temporary works and H&S requirements.
  • HNC/HND/NVQ/Degree or equivalent construction qualification.
  • SMSTS, CSCS, Streetworks and relevant site qualifications.
