Site Manager in City of London, Greater London

GVR Solutions are currently working with an established contractor delivering a number of fire remediation projects across London and the surrounding areas, and are looking for experienced Site Managers to join their projects on a freelance basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Site Manager with a strong construction background and, ideally, previous experience working on fire remediation, cladding, façade, or building safety projects.

Responsibilities of the Site Manager include:

• Managing subcontractors and site operatives on a daily basis
• Coordinating site activities and ensuring works remain on programme
• Maintaining high standards of health & safety across site
• Conducting regular site inspections and monitoring quality
• Liaising with the Project Manager, Contracts Manager and client representatives
• Managing deliveries, materials and site logistics
• Ensuring works are carried out in accordance with drawings, specifications and RAMS
• Maintaining accurate site records and reporting progress
• Identifying and resolving site issues as they arise
• Ensuring compliance with relevant building regulations and project requirements

The Site Manager must have/be:

• Proven experience as a Site Manager within the construction industry
• Experience managing refurbishment, remediation or façade projects
• Fire remediation experience is highly desirable
• Strong understanding of health & safety requirements
• Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and trades effectively
• Good organisational and communication skills
• A proactive approach to problem solving
• Relevant Site Management qualifications - SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid
