Site Manager – Freelance Halifax
£250-£270 per day July 2026 8 Weeks
We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead the successful delivery of an 8-week refurbishment project on a school in Huddersfield.   The successful candidate will play a key role in managing site operations, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time and to the highest quality standards.   Key Responsibilities
  • Overseeing mainly interna refurbishment works packages
  • Coordinate multiple subcontractors, suppliers and site teams
  • Ensure strict adherence to health & safety regulations and company procedures
  • Manage programme delivery and monitor progress against project timelines
  • Maintain high quality standards and ensure compliance with specifications
  • Conduct site meetings, toolbox talks and progress reporting
  Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Site Manager ideally with education experience
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes and site management
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to manage subcontractors and drive programme delivery
Essential Qualifications
  • SMSTS
  • CSCS (Black or Gold Card)
  • First Aid at Work
  • Relevant construction qualification (HNC/HND/NVQ/Degree desirable)
