We are seeking an experienced Freelance Site Manager to oversee the delivery of a solar farm project near Saxmundham, Suffolk.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day site operations, ensuring works are completed safely, on programme, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a proactive individual with strong leadership skills and a solid background in construction site management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise all on-site activities.
- Coordinate subcontractors and site labour.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Maintain site documentation and daily records.
- Liaise with the client, project managers, and other stakeholders.
- Monitor programme progress and resolve site issues efficiently.
- Ensure quality standards are achieved throughout the project.
- SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
- First Aid at Work certificate (valid)
- NVQ Level 6 in Construction Site Management (or equivalent)
- Proven experience as a Site Manager on construction projects.
- Strong understanding of health and safety legislation.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and maintain programme delivery.
- Previous experience delivering renewable energy or solar farm projects.
- Temporary Works knowledge.
- CSCS Black Manager Card.
