You will be expected to understand the building contract and key project stakeholders, maintain a full understanding of subcontractor scopes of work, and liaise with the commercial team regarding any works outside of agreed packages.
Your responsibilities will include managing site activities, coordinating subcontractors, issuing permits to work, overseeing material and equipment procurement, managing utility diversions and temporary service connections, liaising with local authorities and statutory undertakers, and assisting with site logistics and short-term programming.
From a quality perspective, you will monitor workmanship standards, raise and manage Non-Conformance Reports where necessary, ensure Inspection and Test Plans are implemented and closed out correctly, and manage snagging and commissioning activities through to completion.
You will also play a key role in maintaining the highest standards of health and safety on site. This will include ensuring compliance with current Health & Safety and CDM legislation, reviewing risk assessments and method statements, coordinating temporary works procedures where applicable, and promoting a positive safety culture throughout the project.
