Site Manager in Birmingham, West Midlands

About the Role

We are recruiting for a main contractor who are looking for experienced and qualified Site Managers or Supervisors specialising in Interior Systems – Ceilings to carry out ceiling survey projects across various retail stores nationwide. This role involves working night shifts, between 10:00 PM and 5:00 AM, to minimise disruption to store operations. The successful candidates will have the relevant industry qualifications, excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities

• As Site Manager, you will carry out detailed ceiling surveys across various retail store locations.
• Inspect existing ceiling systems and accurately record survey findings.
• Identify and document relevant site conditions and any issues affecting the ceiling systems.
• Complete survey reports and maintain accurate records using IT systems.
• Communicate effectively with site teams, management, and other relevant stakeholders.
• Comply with all site health and safety requirements.
• Travel to different retail locations within a 50-mile radius of your home location.
• Work consistently across 5 night shifts per week – Sunday to Thursday

Essential Qualifications and Requirements

Applicants must hold all the following qualifications and credentials:

• NVQ Level 2 in Interior Systems, specifically relevant to ceiling systems.
• A minimum of a Blue CSCS Card.
• SMSTS or SSSTS certification.
• Valid First Aid certification.

In addition, candidates must:

• Have experience or relevant knowledge of interior ceiling systems.
• Be willing and able to travel up to 50 miles from their home location.
• Be available to work 5 nights per week.
• Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Be IT literate, with the ability to complete digital survey records and reports.
• Demonstrate a professional attitude and a strong commitment to health and safety.
