Assistant Site Manager – Step Up to Site Manager

£50,000 – £55,000 + Annual Bonus | Permanent

We are currently working with a well-established residential developer who are looking to appoint an ambitious Assistant Site Manager who is ready to take the next step in their career and progress into a Site Manager position.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced ASM who has proven themselves on residential projects, or a Site Manager who has recently stepped into their first Site Management role and is looking for the right opportunity to develop further.

The Role

Working closely alongside an experienced Senior Site Manager and reporting directly into the Senior Site Manager and Project Director, you will take responsibility for overseeing the internal works from 1st Fix onwards, ensuring projects are delivered safely, to programme and to the required quality standards.

You will play a key role in coordinating subcontractors, managing site activities and maintaining high standards throughout the internal stages of construction.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing and coordinating internal trades and subcontractors from 1st Fix onwards
• Ensuring works are delivered to programme, budget and the required quality standards
• Supervising and coordinating site activities on a daily basis
• Working closely with the Senior Site Manager and Project Director
• Monitoring progress and reporting on key project milestones
• Ensuring all health & safety requirements are adhered to
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship and quality
• Liaising with subcontractors, suppliers and the wider project team
• Identifying and resolving issues on site effectively
• Assisting with the successful handover and completion of plots

About You

The ideal candidate will be an Assistant Site Manager with proven residential experience who is now looking to step up into a Site Manager role.

Alternatively, you may have recently started your career as a Site Manager and are looking for an opportunity with a developer that will allow you to continue developing your skills and experience.

You must have:

• Proven experience as an Assistant Site Manager, or recent experience as a Site Manager
• Experience working for a residential developer or main contractor
• Strong knowledge of internal construction from 1st Fix onwards
• Good understanding of health & safety, quality and programme management
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• The ambition and drive to progress into a Site Manager position
• A proactive approach with the ability to work effectively as part of a wider site team

• £50,000 – £55,000 all-in
