Construction Site Manager
Location: Gloucester
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 + Package (including £5,000 Car Allowance)
An established, family-run regional main contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Construction Site Manager to lead the delivery of a £5 million new-build healthcare facility in Gloucester.
This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of a high-profile project that will have a lasting impact on the local community while working for a business renowned for its quality, integrity and long-term approach to construction.
The Role
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the construction site, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing all site operations from start to completion.
- Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers and site personnel.
- Driving health and safety standards and ensuring full compliance.
- Monitoring programme and progress, identifying and resolving issues proactively.
- Maintaining exceptional quality throughout the build.
- Building positive relationships with the client, consultants and wider project team.
- Managing site logistics, materials and labour resources efficiently.
- Producing site reports and attending progress meetings.
About You
We're looking for someone who combines strong technical knowledge with excellent leadership and communication skills.
You'll ideally have:
- Proven experience as a Site Manager delivering new-build construction projects.
- Experience managing projects valued between £3m and £10m.
- A background with a main contractor.
- Excellent organisational and planning skills.
- Strong health and safety awareness.
- The ability to motivate teams and maintain high standards on site.
- SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications (essential).
Healthcare project experience is advantageous but not essential.
