Site Manager – Civil Engineering / Substation Project

Force Contracting Services is currently seeking an experienced Site Manager with a strong civil engineering background to join a major substation project at Walpole.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Site Manager with a background in civils and utilities infrastructure to take responsibility for the safe and successful delivery of site operations on a major energy infrastructure project.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing day-to-day site operations and coordinating site activities.

• Supervising subcontractors and site personnel.

• Ensuring all works are delivered safely and in accordance with project specifications.

• Managing programme and progress against project deadlines.

• Ensuring RAMS, permits and site documentation are in place.

• Monitoring quality and ensuring works meet required standards.

• Liaising with the Project Manager, engineers and client representatives.

• Maintaining high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.

• Providing regular progress updates and reporting on site activities.

Essential Requirements

Candidates must hold all of the following:

• SMSTS – Site Management Safety Training Scheme.

• TWC – Temporary Works Coordinator qualification.

• Emergency First Aid at Work (or equivalent valid First Aid qualification).

• Previous experience managing civil engineering projects.

• Experience working within utilities, substations or major infrastructure projects would be highly advantageous.
