Site Manager – Cleanroom Construction

The Role

We are looking to recruit an experienced Site Manager for a 12-month contract on a specialist cleanroom project in Central London.

The successful candidate will take day-to-day responsibility for site delivery, coordinating subcontractors and specialist trades while ensuring the project is delivered safely, on programme and to the required technical and quality standards.

This position would ideally suit a Site Manager with previous cleanroom construction experience, although candidates from pharmaceutical, laboratory or other technically demanding controlled environments will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities
  • Day-to-day management of site operations
  • Manage and coordinate subcontractors, specialist installers and site labour
  • Work closely with the Project Manager on programme, resources and delivery
  • Ensure works are completed in accordance with drawings and specifications
  • Coordinate cleanroom installation works alongside associated M&E packages
  • Monitor programme and identify potential delays or site issues
  • Maintain high standards of health & safety and CDM compliance
  • Carry out site inductions, toolbox talks and site inspections
  • Monitor workmanship and quality throughout the project
  • Manage site logistics within a busy Central London environment
  • Attend progress meetings and provide regular project updates
  • Oversee snagging, commissioning and handover
RequirementsIdeally:
  • Previous cleanroom site management experience
  • Experience delivering cleanroom, pharmaceutical, laboratory or controlled-environment projects
  • Strong construction/site management background
  • Experience coordinating specialist subcontractors and M&E packages
  • Good understanding of construction programmes and sequencing
  • Excellent health & safety knowledge
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • SMSTS
  • CSCS
  • First Aid
Knowledge of ISO 14644, GMP environments and cleanroom validation requirements would be advantageous.

The Opportunity

This is a 12-month contract working on a technically demanding cleanroom project in Central London.

It would particularly suit an experienced Site Manager who understands the additional levels of quality, coordination, compliance and attention to detail required when delivering cleanroom and controlled-environment projects.
