Site Manager in Weymouth, Dorset

Orbit Workforce Solutions Ltd is looking for an experienced Site Manager for a long-term construction project in Weymouth, Dorset, with an immediate start available.

We are looking for someone with a strong background in managing internal trades, finishing works, snagging and taking projects through to completion and handover.

Experience across residential, commercial, fit-out or refurbishment projects would be considered, provided you have a proven track record of managing the final stages of construction.

Key Responsibilities

• Overseeing day-to-day site operations, with a particular focus on internal works and finishing trades.
• Managing and coordinating subcontractors, including carpenters, decorators, dryliners, plumbers, electricians and other finishing trades.
• Ensuring works are completed to programme and to a high standard.
• Managing snagging, defects and remedial works ahead of completion.
• Coordinating final inspections and ensuring areas are ready for handover.
• Maintaining health and safety standards across the site.
• Liaising with subcontractors, clients and the wider project team.

Requirements

• Proven experience working as a Site Manager.
• Strong experience managing internal trades, finishing works, snagging and handovers.
• Background in residential, commercial, fit-out or refurbishment projects.
• Valid SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to coordinate multiple trades.
• Ability to drive works through to completion and meet deadlines.
