We are recruiting a proactive, hands-on permanent Site Manager on behalf of one of our clients, to take full responsibility for our established manufacturing facility in Medway. Working Hours
- Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 5:00pm
- Overtime available when required
The Role
As Site Manager, you'll be responsible for the safe, efficient, and profitable day-to-day running of the site. You'll lead by example, driving performance, developing your team, and ensuring the highest standards of production, quality, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full operational responsibility for the site, ensuring safe and efficient daily operations.
- Lead, motivate, and develop both day and night shift teams to achieve production targets.
- Oversee production planning, quality standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate maintenance activities to maximise uptime and minimise downtime.
- Manage stock levels, customer orders, and site administration.
- Coordinate logistics, deliveries, and customer service to ensure smooth operations.
- Provide visible, hands-on leadership across all operational areas, including supporting FLT operations when required.
- Drive a positive safety culture and promote operational excellence throughout the site.
About You
You'll be an experienced operational leader with a hands-on management style and a passion for developing people and improving performance.
You'll have:
- 3-5 years' supervisory or management experience within manufacturing, warehousing, industrial, or engineering.
- Proven leadership and operational management experience.
- Experience managing production schedules, KPIs, and team performance.
- A valid UK FLT Counterbalance Licence (B1/B2).
- Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to lead from the front.
Desirable Experience
- Engineering or maintenance background.
- Experience managing multi-shift operations.
- IOSH, NEBOSH, SMSTS, COSHH, or similar health and safety qualifications.
- Experience implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
